Van Gogh Roses Bowl Set from The Met Museum

$45

Our set of four stoneware bowls celebrate details from Roses, the beloved still life in The Met collection by Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853-1890). Just the right size for cereal, soup, and more, the appealing ceramic design highlights the artist’s sumptuous rose petals and dark foliage on a pale green ground. In May 1890, just before his departure from the asylum in Saint-Rémy, the artist painted an exceptional group of four still lifes, to which the Museum’s Roses, (and also Irises ) belong. These stunning bouquets were created by Van Gogh as a thematic quartet.
