Kunimasu Kabuki Actor Tote from The Met Museum

Our canvas tote celebrates an ukiyo-e-style woodblock print in The Met collection. Created in 1849 by Utagawa Kunimasu (Japanese, active 1830-1852), it shows the illustrious Kabuki actor Ichikawa Ebizō V in costume. Colorful woodblock prints of the Edo period (1615-1868) featured appealing scenes of urban pleasure districts, nature, and historical events.
