John Derian Columbine Rectangular Tray from The Met Museum

$105

Glass Serving Tray, Unique Flowers Dish Our pretty decoupage tray features a detail from A Columbine or Granny’s Bonnet (Aquilegia), with Additional Studies of Flowers by Pieter Holsteyn II (Dutch, ca. 1614-1673/83). This ink-and-watercolor drawing of a pink columbine probably once belonged to an album commissioned by either a merchant or a collector of flowers. Adapted from the Museum’s Department of Drawings and Prints, this art-inspired design was made exclusively for The Met by John Derian. Based in New York City, Derian’s workshop is celebrated for his unique decoupage creations featuring hand-blown glass.
